In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in residential settings, ensuring safety, precision, and quality craftsmanship. Duties
Measure openings accurately using blueprint reading and schematics to ensure precise glass fitting.
Install, replace, and repair glass panels, windows, mirrors, shower doors, and other residential glass fixtures utilizing hand tools and power tools.
Fabricate custom glass pieces according to project specifications in the manufacturing or fabrication shop.
Perform caulking, sealing, and trimming to ensure airtight and weatherproof installations.
Handle heavy lifting safely when transporting and installing large glass panels or fixtures.
Read blueprints and schematics to follow installation instructions for insulated glass units, shower enclosures, mirrrors, and other glazing related installations.
Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years residential glazing experience.
Hands-on experience with glass installation including cutting, fabrication, handling with hand tools and power tools.
Familiarity with construction painting techniques and caulking for finishing touches.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing large or fragile glass components.
