These are late-1970's mummy-style sleeping bags from Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS), the go-to outfitter of the decade.
According to the tag, the bags have a 100% nylon shell, are insulated with PolarGuard synthetic fill, and have external measurements of 94" x 32". The measurements I made were more like 91" x 27". The interior measurement from the foot to the chin of the bags is about 80"...so plenty long for just about anyone.
Although the bags were bought as a pair, they aren't quite identical, as described here:
Bag #1 - Lighter green color, 5 lbs 4 oz with the stuff sack, an inch or two wider, right-hand zipper
Bag #2 - Darker green color, 5 lbs 9 oz with the stuff sack, an inch or two narrower, left-hand zipper
With right- and left-hand zippers, the bags can be zipped together into a single bag. See the photos.
I couldn't find a standard ISO temperature rating for these bags, but an AI-generated review indicated that "A 5.5-pound PolarGuard bag is a winter bag, typically rated for temperatures in the 10°F range."
These bags didn't receive much use, and the YKK zippers, Velcro tabs, and hood drawcords are in excellent condition. Bag #1 is in excellent condition overall. Bag #2 has a 5" patch at the foot of the bag, as illustrated in the photos. While the patch is a cosmetic blemish, I don't think it affects the utility of the bag in any way. Both bags come from a smoke-free, pet-free home, and have been freshly laundered.
These are not light-weight sleeping bags for through-hikers. At 5+ pounds, they are a 4-season sleeping bag, best for car camping, RVing, cabins, hunting camps, and the like.
Buy the bags individually for $50 each, or take both bags for $90.
