Murdoch is a sweet 70lb shepherd mix with a zest for life and lots of love to give. His estimated age is 8 years.
He was taken in by the other member of the house because his previous owners thought him unmanageable and were going to euthanize him.
With a little training he has transformed in to a happy-go-lucky family dog who loves kids as well as other (non aggressive) dogs. We have three kitties and he is great with them but we do not leave him alone with them as we are a little over protective of our furry friends.
He needs to go to someone with a yard. Two years in a 500-600sqft living space is rendering him anxious and depressed.
Men and women are both fine, but he may take a good 20 min to let a man pet him without running away (unless you have a treat in hand). He is a little shy to begin with.
Murdoch loves to be outside with his people. He is all about swimming, hiking, running, and traveling.
He is crate trained, however this is cruel as he gets so afraid he hurts himself trying to get out. For this reason we must insist he go outside or hang out in the house when no one is home.
As with every big dog we can't recommend he go to someone with little kids who aren't very stable yet. Just a brush by them and his big self would knock them right over.
Please text or call me with any questions. If you do call, it's likely you will need to leave a message as I get little to no signal at the house. Thanks for looking!
