I have 30 years of professional dog training and handling experience with working K9s as well as with pet dogs. I have a law enforcement background and I am a certified professional dog trainer (I attended school for more than a year and specialized in police and detection K9 training 30 years ago.) Before that even, I volunteered helping train police bloodhounds. Ever since I graduated from the Pro Dog Trainer Program, I have been training dogs for police patrol and detection work, teaching seminars, competing in K9 trials with my own dogs that I raised and trained myself from a pup (DDR and Czech GSDs), as well as have been teaching advanced / competition obedience, area and building search techniques, man trailing (Canadian Mounted Patrol Style), Schutzhund tracking, personal protection / security K9 training, decoy training, remote collar training, and CGC and therapy dog training. I am also an expert witness and have written many articles. I have owned and operated a large K9 training facility in CA for the last 15 years and I also have several years experience as a vet tech and am working on getting a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, so know pet first aid and cpr very well as well as how to handle a variety of K9 medical conditions / situations... Needless to say, I have a LOT of experience and knowledge training and handling dogs! Your dog will be in really great hands with me!! I limit the number of dogs I take in at any given time to only two, so I can really focus on them while they are in my care. Because of this, I fill up quickly and pretty far out between my clients in CA and in Flag. Be sure to give me as much notice as possible if you would like specific dates for the training.
The dogs I take in for training stay inside my home and get a lot of attention while they stay with me. I offer the following training packages = Basic (2 weeks), Intermediate (3 - 4 weeks), and Advanced, (6 - 8 weeks). I can give you more details and information about each training package upon request.
Please provide as much details as you can via email about your dog (breed, sex, age), any behavioral issues, and your goals with/for your dog and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I always set up a meet and greet beforehand with perspective training clients and their dogs to make sure the dogs and I are a good fit / match and you and I feel comfortable. It helps things go much more smoothly afterwards when I get your dog for the training :)
