2018 Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Thinline (often just called the VM Tele Thinline)
Features a 24.75" scale length, which is slightly shorter than the standard 25.5" scale found on most traditional Telecasters. This shorter scale makes string tension feel slightly looser, bends easier, and gives the guitar a more Gibson-like feel in terms of playability while retaining that classic Tele twang.
Body: Semi-hollow (chambered) alder with a distinctive single "f"-hole for that classic Thinline look and added acoustic resonance/airiness in the tone. Black polyurethane.
Neck: Bolt-on maple with a comfortable "C" shape profile.
Fingerboard: Rosewood with dot inlays. Fingerboard radius is 7.25" (vintage-style, more curved for easier chording).
Frets: 22 medium jumbo frets.
Nut width: 1.650" (42 mm).
Pickups: Duncan Designed single-coils — a TE-101N in the neck and TE-101B in the bridge (Seymour Duncan-designed for hotter, more modern output than vintage-spec single-coils while keeping Tele snap and clarity).
Electronics: Bullet Standard 3-way switch, one volume, one tone control.
Bridge: Vintage-style 6-saddle string-through-body Tele bridge (chrome) for good intonation and sustain.
Other notes: This model emphasizes a "hot-rodded" '60s/'70s vibe with semi-acoustic construction for chimey, jangly tones of Indy or Blues but plenty of pop for Rock. I believe these were made from 2009 to about 2019
The shorter scale contributes to its buttery, resonant character — less snappy than a standard Tele but warmer and more forgiving for bends and vibrato.
Original price new was $429 in 2015 it's well-regarded in the used market for its value and unique hybrid feel.
