Custom Boss RC600 & GX100 Looping Beast Pedalboard

If you’re looking at this rig you probably already know what’s up. Let me give you a brief walkthrough of it’s functionality.

I built and designed this rig from the ground up for multi-instrumental live looping with a guitar and any other instruments you can think of (voice, percussion, synths, drum machines, you name it)

It’s built around the amazing Boss RC600 6 track looper which is an incredible powerhouse of a unit with tons of ins/outs, a built in mixer and effects and is also extremely flexible & easy to use.

The guitar processing is done by the Boss GX100 which pairs perfectly with the RC600 looper as they are about the same size. They are connected together with bidirectional midi cables allowing for all your effects to automatically sync with the tempo of the looper and also allow the GX100 to send midi commands to the looper if desired. The GX100 allows me to quickly switch between some awesome presets, and then lay them down on different tracks of the RC600 looper for full arrangement control on the fly.

In addition there are 4 midi footswitches added to the midi loop, which can also be programmed to control anything you’d like on the RC600 or GX100. I’ve currently got them set up to turn on and off the four track FX on the RC600 for manipulating tracks after they’ve been recorded.

Everything is powered by a central MXR DC brick and cabling is done nice and tidy.

The units are all mounted securely with 3M Dual Lock (used by all industry pros on pedalboard builds.)

The board is made from sanded 3/4” birch plywood and the riser for the RC600 is made from rails of walnut all screwed securely to the board.

There are rubber feet screwed to the bottom so that the board is nice and stable on hardwood floors.

If you buy the unit from me, I will give you a brief lesson on how to program it.

Everything on the unit is fully functional EXCEPT the USB port quit working on the GX100.
