condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Silvertone
I've had this guitar for years, and barely play it. A shame, because it's a wonderful old guitar in fantastic shape, as you can see from the pictures.

An old guitar technician in Salt Lake City figured out the year for me some years ago; there's a blurry rubber stamp just under one of the f-holes, that says "47". Couldn't really take a picture of it, but can show it to you when you take a look.

The neck is straight; the body is in remarkable condition. The action is great. The frets are grooved, which is a feature that was new to me, but helps keep the strings in place when you fret. I put Martin silk and steel strings on it, because these older archtops aren't built to accomodate high string tension.

I love the way this guitar looks, sounds, and plays, but the truth is it has been sitting around for years. It deserves to be played and loved, and I know there's someone out there who'll be incredibly stoked to have such a unique, old, beautiful instrument.

It still has a leather thong that someone put on it years ago to hang on the wall. I've never done that, because that doesn't seem like a good way to store a guitar; but I left it on because it fits with the vibe.
