Of all the humidifiers I've had over the years these are the easiest to clean and maintain and of course they no longer sell them because there is no maintenance and will last forever. Moving overseas so can't take with.
* 2 units - 1 gallon each, 9.92"D x 15.28"W x 11.14"H
* 4 new-in-box filters
1) Very easy to clean this is the most important thing to me, the entire top comes off and you can soak the bottom/bucket part with vinegar water, and rinse and you are done. Most of the others have a tank with a small opening that is super annoying.
2) Because it's evaporative and there is no heater you don't have that build up of minerals on the heating element that is hard to get off and ruins the heating element..
3) Filters are cheap and easy to replace, If you soak with the vinegar water when cleaning they can last months.
4) All analog, nothing electronic/digital to break, a normal fan is the only moving part and fans last forever.
5) NOT ultrasound - so many all are ultrasound these days and it's hard to find without. First you have that ultrasound frequency in the background, you can't hear it but your body can feel it. And then it gets white mineral dust everywhere.
6) Very easy to fill, wide mouth, no splashing or small openings to spill over.
I bought one when i moved to Sedona and immediately bought a second one since it was such a relief from my old humidifiers and use them in the winter. Stored in original boxes during summer.
The replacement model now is not as simple/easy to clean and are $85 each https://a.co/d/3P0TFuN.
Comes with 4 new filters I bought on sale over summer, that's another $22
So $85x2 = 170 + 22 (filters) plus tax and are not as easy to maintain, that's over $200 so $80 is an fantastic deal. I think of them like the old washing machines that last forever v the newer ones with bells and whistles that break after 5 years
