Great truck I’ve owned for about 20 years. Original from California, I bought it in Texas and then moved it back here to Arizona. Has always been a Western truck. As long as I’ve owned it it’s been quick to start and a ton of fun to drive. For the first 10 years or so this was my daily driver unfortunately I drive it less and less often in the last few years and it’s time to pass it on to someone else.

350 V8, 350 turbo transmission, rear wheel drive. It was originally sold with A/C but at some point that was removed and the engine was massaged a bit, slightly lumpy cam, headers, and 4-barrel carb. I’m sure it’s not making any numbers like modern vehicles but it feels fast.
The truck is 50 years old and because I haven’t been paying enough attention, issues are creeping up here and there. These things are easy to work on and parts are cheap. For the past two years I've meant to take a long weekend and fix everything but that just isn't happening so it's your turn. Let’s get into the issues but first:

The Good
- [ ] Starts right up every time
- [ ] New carb
- [ ] New battery
- [ ] New alternator
- [ ] New wheels and tires ( probably less than 100 miles on them)
- [ ] Looks awesome, my neighbor Dave says it looks like an old NASCAR with the black wheels
- [ ] Thumbs up all over town
- [ ] Notice the rear bumper is a little bent? That's all that happened when I got rear-ended by a Honda hard enough to total that poor Civic.

The Bad
- [ ] Just in the last couple weeks it doesn't want to shift into 3rd. I pulled the governor out and it’s opening but I’m not sure that it’s opening all the way
- [ ] The driverside rear brake light/turn signal doesn’t work
- [ ] There is a parasitic draw that will kill the battery in 2 days. I think this is related to the the tail light
- [ ] Fuel gauge electrical connection needs to be cleaned, the gauge works sometimes now.
- [ ] It’s got a brake light on indicating a problem in the system. It doesn’t leak fluid, the braking performance has never been good but it doesn’t feel any worse than it ever has been.
- [ ] Has the original stereo but no speakers so I’m not sure if it works
- [ ] Missing a rubber exhaust link

The Ugly
- [ ] The doorsills are rusty, both sides have some holes. This is the bulk of the rust on the truck. The rest certainly has some surface corrosion but no real cancer. The frame is in great shape and I’ve never had a problem turning a bolt anywhere on the truck
- [ ] Exposed wires.
- [ ] Seatcover is falling apart,
